Wild Camp in the Lake District – Canon IXUS 200HS Test

A really quick video put together from footage I took from a trip out in the hills in October 2012. It was the first trip using a compact camera and I was interested to see how it compared to my DSLR at one extreme (heavy) and mobile phone at the other (light but not good quality), both of which I’ve used to record my trips in the past. There is therefore no real story or structure to the video, just a few shots joined together to see how they looked.

I am really impressed with the camera. For its size it produces remarkably good footage especially when you can stabilise it using a gorillapod etc. It also does have quite good in-camera stabilisation for handheld shooting.
